Recruiting Workshop

Purpose: Teaching someone how to recruit new members into their squads.

When recruiting, you want to be both welcoming and informative. Giving out too much information can quickly overwhelm someone who has never been a part of a community before. Recruiting can be done quickly if you will be sending them to a training officer. If you are recruiting and training, the process might take a little longer.  Go at their speed. Of course, before recruiting, always ask if they have a working mic and how old they are.

*Introduce yourself and the organization that you represent.

"Hello, I'm KGC _____. I'd like to tell you a little about our community and see if it's something you would be interested in. We are a non competitive community with some competitive aspects. We strive to give our members the best possible gaming experience in the best atmosphere. We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind. We pride ourselves on being a family community. Does this sound like something you are interested in?"

*Meetings and Activity.

Let them know that as KGC members we have 2 weekly meetings per squad. You are asked to attend at least one squad meeting a week. If they are unable to attend they will need to notify the squad leader. Tell them your squad meeting days and times.

1.) Check the recruit’s gamertag, friends list, clubs, and activity feed for any sign of a clan membership.

2.) Ask the recruit if they have been in any other community. If they have, check the information and see if it’s in there.

3.) Ask the date of the recruit’s birth (Day, Month, Year).

4.) Recruit must have a mic.

5.) The recruit must either already have or be willing to download Discord onto their computer, mobile device, or utilize the app through XBOX.

6.) The recruit must have a minimum of 1000 GS

This is only an example. Take some time to find out some positive things about our community that you think would attract new members.
